Little People - Big Decisions

My name is Jordan, I am 5 !!
I am a patient at "Great Ormond Street"
" the best hospital in the world
that's me smiling ! and Katie one of the nurses on Louise ward, she is taking my blood preasure, it doesnt hurt though its easy peasy ! I have two brothers Ashley is 16 he's pretty big ! and Callum is 12, he's not so big, they both love me LOTS

Ashley is the one with short hair and Callum is the one kissing me EEWW!
We play all the time and they make sure that I am always having fun, they are the best brothers ever !

I had to make my mind up about something very important this week, I needed another operation, I was'nt scared I was just a little bit nervous. When I was born my bladder (the thing that I keep my wee in) was on the out side of my body, it's ok though I still have just as much fun as anyone else, but sometimes I have to go to GOSH for them to check that everything is working ok, when I do I see Karen Ryan she is one of the nurses that know's everything about Bladder Exstrophy.

This is me haveing a "Jelly Belly" thats when they use a special machine called an ultrasound to look at my bladder and measure it.
I am having my operation today and I have to get up very early ! but I am still tiered

Here I am again on Dinosaur Ward, thats were you go before your operation, its a really fun place there are lots of toys for you to play with, and all the nurses are brilliant.

Having my temprature taken to make sure I am not too hot, and that I am well enough to have my operation.

This is my bed, I have to take some medicannow to make me feel relaxed

I have just had my relax drink and put on my gown ready to

go for my operation

Once I was nice and relaxed I had to go and see some more doctors, they gave me a really cool mask to put over my mouth, like a pilot ! All I had to do was breath and thats easy I do it all the time anyway, after a little while I went to sleep ready for my operation..

<--- Thats Mr Cuckow ( I call him Mr Cooker)
he's a very clever man ! he made me a new belly button
a couple of years ago and now he is gonna help me again.
he is very, very nice !

HELLO It's me AGAIN ! I have just had my operation, I am still sleeping thats all !

The stuff they use to make you go to sleep makes you feel very tiered. That machine is just keeping an eye on me while I am asleep to make sure I am fine !

I'm awake now and I feel fine I am starving now !

Me & Amy Danni, Amy & me Me watching Tv having
my needle taken out

I live in Wales ! that a long way from London which is where Great Ormond Street is it takes us 4 hours in the car ! but I wont notice 'cause I will be watching DVD's all the way.....

11.30 at night back in my house, all done ! SEE YOU SOON GREAT ORMOND STREET !

Hi Darren, I've recently given birth to twins however one of my twins had bladder exstophy. He was born 2 months early and weighed 2lbs 8oz and had an operation on day 2 of his life in the big world. The operation to put the bladder back inside his tummy went very well. This is his first scar which goes vertically down his tummy. I'm not quite sure what else to expect and as your little boy is 5years wondered if you were able to enlighten me what i have to come and when i might expect it. Many Thanks Emma

Hi Emma,
Sorry I have only just seen your question
Jordan has had a busy couplt of months with
Surgery's, he is having a Kelly procedure done to
Give his penis a more normal look and also to improve his
Bladder function ! Where are you from and
Which hospital is looking after your little one?
